Oak Ridge Rowing Association (ORRA) is pleased to announce both a USRowing Masters Camp training opportunity and a regatta partnership with for Masters in the Southeast Region.
The week of May 25, 2026, USRowing will offer a multi-day Masters training camp on Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, TN. Elite coaches from across the US will work with Masters on all facets of their rowing in a high-touch program. Space will be limited to ensure appropriate athlete-coach ratios. The camp will include on-water coached sessions, video review, and free-time on the ORRA sprint course. The last day of camp will coincide with the practice day for Oak Ridge Rowing Association’s Dogwood Masters Classic Regatta.
The Dogwood Masters Classic regatta brings together experienced masters athletes from across the Southeast and beyond for spirited competition, camaraderie, and celebration of lifelong rowing. ORRA will partner with USRowing to allow the well-established regatta to serve as the USRowing Southeast Masters Championships partner event.
Rowers ranging in age and experience compete in a full slate of sculling and sweep events, including singles, doubles, pairs, fours, and eights. With masters categories spanning multiple age groups and handicapped racing formats, the regatta delivers close finishes and competitive depth across the schedule. Melton Lake provides fast water and a fair course that showcases the strength and determination of masters athletes.
The Dogwood Masters Classic is known not only for high-quality racing, but also for its welcoming and collegial atmosphere. Crews reunite with longtime competitors, forge new connections, and demonstrate the sportsmanship that defines the masters rowing community. The event continues to highlight the vitality and passion that masters rowers bring to the sport.
